ASME B16.5 rtj flange is one special type of flanges. The B16.5 flanges range in nominal bore sizes from ¼ inches to 24 inches. R.C. Metal Corporation is a leading manufacturer of the Stainless Steel RTJ Flanges in various sizes, pressure ratings, classes and material grades as well. The material grade ranges for different applications types and the Ring Type Joint Flanges can come with different mechanical properties. The most used of the flanges are made from 304 austenitic stainless steels. It has 205MPa minimum yield strength and the Weld Neck ring type joint flanges made up of this material can operate up to 870 degrees Celsius temperature. The welded neck on the flanges allows for maximum connection surface.
The PN16 RTJ Flange is of a lower pressure rating where the pressure ratings can range from PN6 through PN64. There are also different classes such as class 150, 300, 400 and so on that governs the wall thickness and diameter. The RTJ Pipe Flanges is a special type in that it has two halves as rings. Each ring is welded to on end of two different pipes. Then the pipes are brought together and the two halves are welded together to make the connection. The Flange RTJ Class 5000 is a high wall thickness, high pressure flanges. It can be used in high temperature, high pressure applications such as hydraulic systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and boiler components.
The RTJ Flange Class 600 is relatively lower class which can be used in low pressure applications such as water lines, sea water desalination systems, pollution control systems and so on. The Blind RTJ flanges is particularly unique in that it closes the connection instead of extending the line. The blind flanges are useful in maintenance systems. The Raised Face rtj flange type is available with a raised face so that there is more surface for bolt holes and grip. This is to ensure that the connection is strong and tight enough.
