ASTM A350 LF2 Fittings are used in low pressure services but are not limited to. R.C. Metal Corporation is a leading supplier and manufacturer of the LTCS A350 LF2 Socket Weld Fittings, threaded fittings and screwed fittings. There are different types of fittings for different functions in a piping system. The A350 Lf2 Elbow is used to change the direction of pipe in 90 degrees angle, in general. But the elbow can also come in 45 degrees angle and in custom angles. A350 Lf2 Forged Fittings can be treated by normalizing, precipitation, quenching or tempering.
The treatment provides extra strength to the fittings. The standard is ASME 16.11 and the fittings range from 1/8 inches to 36 inches in nominal bore sizes. There are different pressure classes of the ASTM A350 Gr Lf2 Class 1 Screwed Fittings ranging from 2000 to 9000 depending on the type of the fitting. The LF2 fittings have class 1 and 2. The ASTM A350 Gr Lf2 Cl1 Threaded Fittings 250MPa minimum yield strength and up to 655MPa minimum tensile strength. The class 2 fittings are less common but are used in specific application requirements.
The A350 lf2 Class 2 Coupling and other fittings are made up of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, cobalt and vanadium in the composition. This composition provides the Carbon steel Grade a350 lf2 Threaded Hex Plug and other fittings the corrosion resistance, hardness and strength.
