Stainless Steel 304L Pipe Fittings are made up of the 18/8 material that is strong and high temperature capable. R.C. Metal Corporation is a leading manufacturer and supplier of the SS 304L Elbow and other fittings in different specifications and grades. The elbows are used for changing pipe directions and there are other ASTM A403 Gr WP304L Fittings such as bend, crosses, tees and couplings. The A403 forged fittings come in the size range of 1/16 inches to 2 inches in outer diameter. These are high pressure, high temperature fittings.
The 304L Stainless Steel Buttweld Fittings have high strength with 205MPa minimum yield strength and 515MPa minimum tensile strength. The operating temperature of the SS UNS S30403 Buttweld Fitting can go up to 870 degrees Celsius. The wrought products are stronger and are preferred for high pressure applications. The A403 WP304L Material has 18% chromium and 8% nickel in the composition along with carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur and nitrogen. The carbon content is low in the SS 304L fittings so that welding operation is smooth.
There is very less carbide precipitation while welding and it avoid intergranular corrosion which in turn reduces localized corrosion. The ASME SA403 WP304L Seamless Fittings and welded fittings are used in petroleum, sea water, marine, medical, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The seamless fittings are preferred for precise applications where the welded fittings can be used in any application.
